Check the hard drive with the manufacturer's diagnostic tools.

    This should do the job:
    Check Disk - Reset

Please let us know if it does... :)

    Tevans,
Fill in your System Specs and we might be able to give you a direct link to the mfg of your hard drive.
    UPDATE YOUR SEVENFORUMS SYSTEM SPECS

User CP (3rd item in the top menu bar) |
Your Profile (left-hand column, Edit System Spec

    To gather info, use
Speccy - System Information - Free Download
or SIW or the System Info tool,
Use System Info to see your System Specs

Add the word laptop or desktop or netbook to the
    “system manufacturer” block.

Provide full windows version info, for example:
    MS Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1

Use the “Other Info” block for Optical Reader,
Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor, etc

Scroll down and click on the SAVE CHANGES button.

    OncleJean,

I think something went astray on our end.

I know that the powers that be were trying to keep several similar, but different, check disk problems separate but now I'm confused.

Maybe one of the big cheeses will notice the misalignment and get us bakc in gear.

Excellent work on the specs, however, I didn't see info on the hard drive itself. Speccy or SIW (links in my sig) will provide the missing info to you.

Here is a summary from Speccy, I can send you more destail using AIDA 64. I feel this may be a fruitless task as few people seem to knoww
what ChkDsk does, they just use it and expect it to have worked with out botering about recoveries

My mistake. I had intended for the disk info to included in your System Specs.

Would you please edit your system specs to include the pertinent info?

    Thanks.
