Taskbar frozen HELP

    I tried it on Internet Explorer but it didn't help. Alright I will install a new version but where can I find it. I don't think Microsoft gives links for that.

    Hello Zidane, sorry to jump. Let me try.
    click start, in the start search box, type msconfig and press enter. Disable all startup applications under Startup tab.
    open task manager and end explorer.exe and in the task manager, click File>New Task(Run) and type explorer and press Enter. Then restart your computer.

    Go right ahead, I welcome all who assist me in diagnostics (or I assist them)...I was about to mention that but since he mentioned that it was doing this on clean installs I was skeptical that a startup issue is the problem

    No it didn't resolve my issue. So the startup programs are not the cause.

    Did you restart the explorer.exe process?

    yes I did. But where can I find the newer version? I am not a member of Technet or MSDN.
