As Win 7 Home Premium doesn't contain the Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc), is there any tweak to add gpedit to Win 7 Home Premium?
I have laptop with licensed win7home & as my friends will also play with it, I want to just have restricted user account also, so that I will log on with it when I am with my friends. They are very naughty.:)

The method Ztruker linked to, written by a member here davehc, does work. Read down through his comments further down:
I successfully installed it on my Home Premium using that method. A GuyAndy and I corresponded on this project by Email. It had been successfully employed by members on other forums, and I could not understand the negative feedback here. After investigation, I realised this was, perhaps, for 32Bit only. perhaps a member could confirm it works for 32 Bit?
However, I installed Home premium 64Bit and played with the program. The answer ( at least for me, and I really hope for all) was simple. The installer is unable to locate where to put the GpEdit.msc file.
OK. Try this.
I have zipped Gpedit.msc (64Bit) here: (gpedit.rar - download now for free. File sharing. Software file sharing. Free file hosting. File upload. FileFactory.com ).
Download, Unzip and move it to Windows - System32. Now, try, in the RUN box Gpedit.msc. ”
Investigated totally now. Installed the 32Bit Home.My last info works for both 32Bit and 64Bit. members MUST run the installer, but it cannot find the path so then they manually transfer the GPedit.msc to System32. The installer sets up the .dlls and other items.
it works the way A guy suggested , only the name of the file is in sysWOW64 ,and it gpbak, open it an copy to system32,and it works , thanks A guy
Samsung R480 Laptop, Win 7, 64 bit, Home Premium
I tried multiple times and could not get it to work.
Keep getting "MMC could not create the snap-in" error message .
I must have one of the system configs that this does not work on.
Does anyone know how to uninstall this?
I used the add/remove programs entry but this does not seem to restore the following files from SysWOW64\GPBAK-folder:
Running "sfc /scannow" gives me the result that these files are corrupt (since they're different from the original ones)...Code:gpedit.dll gptext.dll fde.dll fdeploy.dll
Basically, I need to now what the installer did, so that I can undo them (manually).
