Windows 7: partition

i have HP 4530s probook with windows7 64 bits. this machine got 3 partitions by default. C drive contain OS. and D drive contain HP recovery, and E drive contain HP tools. i want to create 1 more partition. but when i am trying to create new partition through windows 7 disk manegment utility. it can not create my new partition. like. when i shrink C drive at 100gb its show me this size in unalocated space. and when i right click on it and trying to create new simple volume the visit appears i select partition latter and format it from ntfs file system when visit compliete its give me message to convert my disk into dinamic disk. i select option no. the visit finished and no partition created. unalocated space remains there
can u tell me what is the problem exactly ?.

You can have only 4 partitions on a single HD and only one can be active at a time. What do you need to put on the new partition?

Looks like you already have 4 primary partitions on that drive. The fourth one is probably the hidden 100MB active partition. Check that in Disk Management. If possible, post a picture of Disk Management.

What you will have to do is to first convert one of those primaries into a logical partitions. The most likely candidate for that is probably the C partition - but that we'll have to check on your Disk Management picture. When you post back, we'll tell you how to proceed.

PS: DO NOT CONTINUE when the system tells you that it will convert your partitions into Dynamics - that would bring your system to a total halt.

yes, i can find 4th one partition in disk manigement. the 4th one is system partition 100 mb.
how to create new partition ? and tell me how to convert my recovery D or HP tools E into logical or secondary partition ?
please brief reply i m not very advance user.
