That looks OK to me. Windows 7 will use as much as it needs and manages the memory so that frequently used programs remain in memory unless it is needed for something else. It really is not worth disabling services you will end up doing more harm than good.

I don't know that game but as I said just let Windows manage the memory for you. Mine is sitting at 2.6 GB out of 4 and at the moment I am just browsing with Chrome.

Unused memory is wasted memory.
I side with kado897.

Using memory does not make a computer slower, it makes it faster. 60% is not even close to 100%

Agreed with all of the above...and trying to free up more RAM won't do anything to prevent your laptop from overheating. That's all down to CPU and GPU usage (and to a lesser extent, components such as the HD).

Physical Memory usage does not go above 45%
Hello, Recently my laptop started functioning very badly, slowing down suddenly, then crashing, even thought I wasn't running too many processes or taxing it too hard. For a while I thought it might be a virus or malware, but running any scan was an exercise in futility since the computer slowed...

O% CPU Usage, 54 Physical Memory
Don't know much about computers, but...just started occasionally getting one short beep or two short beeps every once in a while. Read thru a few forums, and found some responses concerning memory. Checked my Task Manager (I'm on Windows 7 on an Acer laptop a few months old) and all the CPU usage...

Physical Memory Usage never above 33%
I have a new Dell inspiron 580 with core i3 processor, 4gb ram and windows 7 home premium x64. Through a dock gadget, I noticed that the physical memory usage never ever exceeds 33%, regardless of the amount of tasks and load placed on it. It seems it would rather slow down that exceed this...

Windows 7 random CPU usage and high physical memory usage!!!
Ok, I am literally KILLING myself over this! I installed Windows 7 64Bit over XP around a month ago and it was so good that I recommended it to my brother who was previously on XP too. We got him a copy of the 32bit version as he has only 2gb of memory, and he installed it on his machine....
