My Hardisk is Full even after Files Deleted and Program Uninstalled

Hai guys, sorry, I am using windows 7 32 bit, and my problem is that the hardisk keeps getting full again, even after I have deleted many files and uninstall softwares. I didnt set my hard disk for recovery either. How can I tackle this problem? Sorry if anyone had posted this before and I didnt notice

You say your hard drive is filling up - we can't even begin to give you meaningful advice until we know the basics such as how big your hard drive is.

Your hard drive is 149GB, but you have two partitions. I assume one will be the system reserved partition, but to make sure, can you please post a screenshot of your disk management layout?

In the meantime, please check the tutorial I gave you the link for, as it has much good advice in it on reclaiming hard drive space.

Another method:

Click the Start button and type dsk in the Search field.

Under the Programs list click "Create and format hard disk partitions" which will open the Disk Management window.

Make sure you expand it to full size then post it using the Snipping Tool.

You don't have much free space on D that you could add to C.

The usual suspects responsible for a growing C are System Restore, the page file, or the hibernation file.

You can control the size of the first two. You can eliminate the last one entirely if you don't use hibernation.

You might also be able to get some space back by using Disk Cleanup.

But, really, you have a small drive. I'd bite the bullet and get a larger drive.

If you mean the hibernation file, no you can't just delete it. It must be disabled by opening a command prompt with administrative privileges and typing powercfg -h off - this will disable hibernation and delete hiberfil.sys from your C: drive automatically.

The easiest way is to open your Start menu, click on Run and then just type cmd. The command window will automatically be opened with administrative privileges.

"i cant seem to run...run" okay, haha,kidding, pun intended. Em, thanks, got it. Will try to do it. I actually installed the CCleaner and it deleted all the unnecessary files, before this I had like 20MB now I have 1.5GB free. I will try to do other methods as well
