Display Driver Stopped Responding error message.

    Hey guys,

Im running Windows 7 Home on my laptop and some of my video editting software has been crashing and I get this error message.
"Display driver stopped responding and has recovered. Display driver NIVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 267.21 stopped responsing and has successfully recovered"

Im running on the Alienware M14x, x64, 6GB RAM, quadcore processor.
Video card is a Geforce GT 555M 1.5gb total video memory.

It crashes when I am on Video Editting software like Adobe After Effects CS5.5.
I have also noticed that my memoery usage goes up to like 85-90% which seems kind of weird.

Another question is, is it normal that my OS has 1.8gb on standby all the time?

Thanks and hope to hear reply :)

Sounds like bad drivers...on Windows XP you would be getting a BSOD...
