I replace the ugly, primitive and hard to use explorer shell with something better - Emerge desktop.

My favorite Windows 7 tweak program is....Windows 7. I'm not sure how many more times it needs to be said, but the best tweaking advice for Windows 7 is to "leave it alone". Those third-party apps will do one of two things....nothing or cause issues.

    Hello there!

Tweaking is fun until you know what your tweak and your confident enough to revert back. I used to tweak my PC, sometimes I screw up but I have backup I restore it or do a System restore :) So if your tweaking then make sure you have a backup and a System restore point.

    RE: Tweak software

Best All-In-One Tweak program is probably Windows 7 Manager by Yamicsoft ( HOMEPAGE ). You have to pay but there is a thirty day trial if you want to check it out.

AND...listen to Captain Jack regarding restore points - always always always

    Anyway, hope you like it!

Why should I pay for something I don't need?

I first installed Windows 7 two years ago, I've never tweaked it and it is running as well today as it did when I first installed it.

Save your money and let the operating system take care of business.

It's one thing to use a free app that yields nothing positive and call it "fun", but why pay for that result?
