They all stink...? They are all single core processors, compared to a Intel Core 2 Duo even a low end 2GHz will out pace a P4 3Ghz.

They will all be able to run W7, however out of those I would choose the Pentium 4 3.0GHz. Since they are all relatively old models, you might be better considering newer CPUs.

Yeah I know, but its for my son at it will be his first computer just building a tower for him but wasnt sure what would be ok in it to run win7
The P4 will it be ok or will XP be better and faster (sort of speak)

Also are the 3 of these the same pins? if so what type are they as I may get another cpu depending on the board.

Thanks

If you're considering building him one, as opposed to buying a ready-assembled model, what is your absolute upper price limit that you are willing to pay, and where are you located? Based on that, others should be able to give you a guide on what is the best value for the money available.

Ok, I have tried every option for getting Windows 7 to install, failed, and decided I was going to go back to Vista. However, I am now getting the same error installing Vista as I have been getting installing Windows 7. So this HAS to be to do with a setting somewhere.. :sarc: Ok, the issue...
