Thank you so much for your additional information and explanations. I totally understand now. The Repair Install with the integrated ISO disc went very well - took about 3 1/2 hours. The only issue is when it asked my to enter the produce key, I entered the one I used before from the OEM disk package and it said that it was not valid. I tried 2 times then clicked the Skip button. After the install completed I checked the System screen and there was a Produce ID showing but it is different than what I typed in and it is not the same OEM Product ID that was there prior to the Repair Install. It also says 2 days until automatic activation ... Activate Windows now. I clicked on that link and entered the same Product key as before and it once again came back and said it was invalid. There was no mention of activating over the phone.

    Thanks!

Hmmm, that is odd. If you are unable to resolve the problem, you may have to do a clean install with the OEM disc. I would recommend backing up your important data in the meantime in case you have to go to that extreme.

Thank you - I will wait 2 days to see what happens when it says automatic activation will occur.

    Have a great weekend.
