True, it is a bit high. But it also depends how long the system was already running and what programs were loaded. My theory is that using a maximum of RAM is a good thing. No need to keep it empty for a rainy day.

Not many rainy days down here in South Texas. The memory gets used. That's why my statement was qualified with "at the moment". The OP has tons of processes running but yeah, I agree, the snapshots don't tell the whole story. Could be a couple of updates running. I see one back door from WMC.

If you really want to see how busy it can get after startup, take a look at Windows scheduled events.

When that snapshot was taken the memory wasnt too bad. Keep in mind some days it will go up to 6-7Gb when Im only using winamp and IE.

Ive started to launch one program at a time again. Letting the comp run for awhile to see if there is a spike in memory. So far nothing.
