    Win 7 64 bit 4gb+ ram access

Hi All I recently update my old XP computer to a new i5 Win7 Pro 64 bit computer. Current I have 16gb of ram install in the system. However I never seen Win use more then 3.5gb of ram. I try loading multiple programs/game and never reboot the system for 1 week and still the ram used never pass 3.5 gb.

Is there a way to get Win7 use more of the installed ram? I read that 32bit win have a 4 gb limitation but I have 64 bit...?

Are you using the latest BIOS for your computer, or is the RAM faulty?

Open Resource Monitor (type it into start menu search), Memory tab.
Screenshot the physical memory graph at the bottom.

At work so can't check that right now. But I think I know what your talking about. I saw some screen shot in here from other user show something like "4.00GB(3.00GB Usable)". I double check this morning about this and my screen say under Installed memory (RAM): 16.00GB

Sorry but it's kind of impossible to see that info, at least for me. Try this - https://www.sevenforums.com/general-d...tml#post852738
