Find in Windows Explorer doesn't work with UTF-8

I have a lot of text files in UTF-8 format (they're source files for the Lilypond open source music typesetter). Windows Explorer can't find text strings in these files - when I enter a string in the search box that I know is in the files, no files are found. Attributes for the directory containing the files shows that file contents are indexed.

If I open a command prompt on the dir containing the files and do a FIND "<textstring>", the FIND command can find the files containing the strings, so it seems to be a bugger-up in Windows Explorer.

I'm running RC build 7229 x86 version.
