Slow computer but not using cpu or memory ? this might help.

This is a thread for helping people with this issue.

So, last night i was working 7 hours on the computer because it suddenly
became very very slow after installing updates from windows and installing Diablo 3.
Here is my symptoms that you might go trough to see if you have the same.

-Fast boot speed but then slow when logged in.
    -CPU at 0-2,3 %
    -Memory not being used
    -Browser browsing works fine
-After reinstalling windows, drivers etc. Computer is still slow

So, what i did wich finally worked out for me was to reset BIOS settings to factory
but that's not all, after i finally got my computer working properly it shows me that i do not have a power management driver, this did not show when i was dealing with the problem at first. So my suggestion to people having the same problem is to check your drivers, reset BIOS settings and maybe reinstall windows.

    Hi there
In my experience 95% of poor computer performance (assuming sufficient RAM) is poor or totally inadequate Disks.

Replacing a standard HDD with an SSD even on a humble netbook can immediately pay HUGE dividends performance wise.

Check also you haven't got a lot of unnecessary processes running in the background.

If you see the disk light constantly on there's something wrong.

I'd be very surprised if the BIOS causes a problem--wrong Bios settings usually prevent the computer from booting properly in the first place.

    cheers
