Windows 7 - I found No icons on desktop after restart

| | I found No icons on desktop after restart This problem persisted over 1 week and i am not able to see any icons on my desktop. I just installed windows 7 the previous week and everything was fine then, even now am able to use the computer as usual but since there are no icons on the desktop i have to go all the way round to get to my computer or any other application. Is there any solution to this problem?  |

| | Right click on desktop. Click on View and the check Show desktop icons. |
