DDR PC-2700 and PC 3200 performance

    hi,
i'm using an old computer with this specs:

CPU: Intel Pentium 4 Northwood 2.53 GHz
    Motherboard: Asus P4P8X
    RAM: 2GB DDR
    GPU: Sapphire HD 3450 512 MB DDR2 (AGP 8x)
    PSU: 400W
    OS: Win XP PRO SP3 / Win 7 PRO SP1 (all 32bit)

this is my question...my ram is:
    1,5 GB pc-3200 (200MHz)
    512 MB pc-2700 (166MHz)

if i use only pc-3200 ram modules, should I get a performance boost?
now my RAM clock is 134.7 Mhz...

Due to the processor cited you won't really get anything running at multiples of more than 133Mhz on the system.

Your slower RAM is as much as your board can handle anyway, so the faster 1.5Gb stuff is running in legacy mode anyway.

Unlikely you'd find it now, at least cheaply, but 2 x 2Gb of DDR2 533Mhz RAM would give you a boost... :)

    thanks for reply!

but in my bios i have 4 options in "ram speed"...:

    Auto
    133MHz
    166MHz
    200MHz

now i'm running Windows XP with RAM at 166MHz... but i'm not able to run them at 200Mhz
