That doesn't change my opinion RAM will always be a faster program cache, SSDs are or will be mainstream and will always be faster than jump-drive flash: Readyboost = anachronism.
Windows 8 isn't out yet either
To me Ready Boost was a gimmick to sell Vista and W7 to people with older computers and that is all. The pitch. You can buy and use these operating system on your old system because we now have Ready Boost. Hog Bananas. That's all it was and is. To me that's all these Hybred hard drives are is a hard drive with Ready Boost included and the world will be a better place. It's all, (well you know). One must update their hardware to meet the standards of Windows 7 or you will not enjoy Windows 7 as you should. This updating of hardware will continue forever in the computer world.
There isn't anything to disagree about. Those are facts I posted, from the very inception of Readyboost, and you decided to start twisting my words (yes, you did...it's right there in print).
I enjoy, rather love, a healthy debate, but as soon as someone starts playing games, the fun and purpose of the debate is lost. My goal here is to make sure people have factual information in front of them. I offered that you test the theory out on your own, but you would rather just claim my posted facts are false. To each his own.
Thank you. That was my point from the beginning, that Readyboost had no place in this thread as a solution because it isn't relevant.
Now that the thread is back on track, we can continue with our regularly scheduled programming.
