Extra long shutdown

    Problem is, there is nothing to eject.

    Wolfgang I don't know how you set your 2000ms and I am guessing it is my method but the pic shows how I set all my machines.

    It is set to 2000. And the funny thing is, when I ran one of those shutdown tracing programs, it said that it shut down in 2 sec - which of course is not true.

    It is not a big problem. On a real shutdown it does not matter. It is only a bit boring for restarts.

    I'd just dissable the adapter in device manager.

    Yes mate I have even set mine for 0 in the past and it is not really zero I think the default figure or whatever you set is arbitrary to what one has running - to a point. I suppose it you think about it to set it to zero means the thing has to stop instantaneously which unless I am terribly wrong would be nigh impossible.

    My worst shortcoming is having a document left open - shut down and come back ten minutes later with a screen saying do I want to save this document
