    How to delete temp and cookie files in window 7?


    Hello Everyone,
    I'm naive user in computer and I'm trying to delete temp & cookie file in Window 7 operating system. I have not idea to how delete these files. So resolve my problem and give appropriate answer.

    Download and install CCleaner - Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download .This neat little software gives option to clean windows temp files as well as cookies,cache and much more from the browsers you use.Keep one thing in mind avoid using Registry cleaner option as windows 7 is very good at taking care of its registry needs.

    If you don't prefer 3rd party software then you can use in built system Disk cleanup option.Start-all programs-accessories-system tools-Disk cleanup.Choose the C drive and click OK.

    Caution...

     Current accepted wisdom with Win 7 is to NOT use a cleaner.

    If you ever think your Registry needs to be cleaned, repaired, boosted, tuned-up, cured, tweaked, fixed, or optimized it shouldn't.

    In other words, injudicious use of "Registry cleaners" CAN cause problems.

    As you are saying you're naive user so I think you have to use a third party tool. There are lots of tool in the market such as CCleaner, MindStick Cleaner etc. I had used MindStick Cleaner, it is free charge tool so you can easily download it.

    There has been a lot of suggestions, I am here just to back up CCleaner. It is a nice excellent program for people who would rather have the entire process of cleaning up the HDD, be an automatic process. DOn't worry it wont delete your personal files that you made. It only deletes old tracks from your browser, cache, and empties your recycle bin.

    I would suggest that any {naive or otherwise} user would be wise to stay well away from any Cleaner / Optimizer.

    Should you decide to go ahead -
    Make sure you have
    1.a current System Restore point created.
    2.a recent "Back up" of your computer- preferably to an external HD.

i cant delete my windows temp files. When i open the folder to do it manually, the files are gray. i click delete history button and still nothing happens, the files are still there. please help.
