Apply Windows 95 Look: Right Click On Desktop > Click Personalization > (Scroll Down and) Choose Windows Classic You can also disable some or all visualization effects: Right Click Computer > Click Properties > Click Advanced System Settings > Click Advanced Tab > In Performance, click Settings > Choose Adjust for best performance. I would download and open CCleaner and use CCEnhancer for more features. Then go to the Clean Tab, Analyze and run the Cleaner. What I do as soon as I get a computer os open MSConfig, select the Boot Tab and select No GUI Boot, this will disable the Boot Animation. | | Unless you have a really crappy graphics card. Turning off Aero and the other effects will not improve your performance. It might improve your perception of performance. But no. All of the pretty effects of Windows Aero run on the GPU. Again, removing the eye candy won't do any thing. Graphics cards don't even break a sweat computing them. Its sad to see...that so many people still do not understand this. |
