I cannot Defrag My Hard Drive Automatically!

I can defrag it manually, but it won't run automatically, and it won't show up in the scheduler for Disk Defragmenter. I have already run chkdsk on the drive and after my pc rebooted, it said the colume is clean. The drive circled in the picture below is the drive that isn't defragging automatically.

I may be a silly question, but is your PC on at 1:00 am?
If not, adjust the scheduled time.
Also it's not necessary to defrag daily with Windows 7, especially when the fragmentation is so low.

My PC is on at 1:00 A.M. because I run all of the maintenance overnight. I set disk defragmenter on daily because I move files around and install and uninstall programs a lot. I am getting some interesting things from the S.M.A.R.T. data from my hard drive. Have a look:

Have you looked at the Event Viewer?

It will show the defragmentation events. I don't think you get a confirmation of the last events on the main defragmentation screen for scheduled events.

Regarding your sector problem, try running Seatools, it should be able to repair damaged sectors. The program will probably ask you to make a backup of your data and I don't believe it can be run on the same drive that the OS is on.

Oh yea! I can run seatools. I think I am gonna load a copy of Windows 7 to my second hard drive and then run seatools. I just need to wait for chkdsk to finish. If this doesn't work, I made a support casde with HP and I will send the hard drive back.

What information does Task Scheduler show for the Defrag task, especially Last run result?

It says the operation completed sucessfully. Look at the pic below. Look where I circled. The problem is that I can't get my c: drive to show up there and to defrag automatically. I can defrag it manually, but it won't defrag with my other hard drive automatically.
