Windows 7: Lagging Games, slow program start up

Hi guys

Im in the middle of testing my PC using "Driver Verifier" due to BSOD problems (active in the Crashes and Debugging section), but i have noticed after installing all of the correct drivers for Motherboard and Graphics card aswell as having the Driver Verifier operating in the background the games are laggy and opening programs, such as photoshop, takes a good 20 sec's (where as it used to be as quick as opening a web browser).



The set up is:

Motherboard: Asus M5A97
Processor: AMD FX 6 core
RAM: 4GB (2X2GB)
Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 560
Hard Drive: 1TB Smamsung
OS: Win 7 Full Retail 64bit
