What is telling you that you have a corrupted Registry? Are you having error messages, or performance problems?

Try running SFC -SCANNOW Command, report back what it finds and answers to above questions.

    Dear addas,
When you select the registry keys to be deleted in Revo Uninstaller ,the secret is to select the ones in the list(as i have typed).

Borrowing from Greg,@gregrocker, who tells that Ccleaner is a safe one, you may give it a try as Arc has given the link.

There are no safe Registry cleaners out there,so please do not use any! I add to the chorus by asking 'what makes you to suspect a corrupted registry"?
    regards,
    sree

No registry cleaner will help with this. Almost all of them are sales scams except CCleaner which only cleans up leftover keys. So you can forget that.

If SFC cannot repair it, then you can try a Repair Install.

But you'd be better off investing now in getting a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7
which steps are the same for retail and will assure you get and keep a perfect install as long as you stick with the tools and methods given only.

Did not finish post. Computer will not boot. Used windows disk to run fix my computer. scan reports says corrupt registry.
To do a repair install Windows has to be running. Repair install was not a problem in XP. So far I can not find this feature in win 7. only clean install that wipes everything. I failed to get an image made after building machine and all software installed unfortunately. My origional cd got damaged so borrowed my wife's to try this. I do have mu origional Key code. If I have to do a clean install. will my key code work? I have resurrected my previous slow computer that I am using now that has the same OS that that I used Acronis to move to my new machine. Looks like I will have to do that again and recover some of my software if nothing else works. My new hdd is not dead, just Windows. I ws able to recover basic files by doing a side by side hdd install, but not bootable software.

All of those questions are answered in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 so perhaps you should read it now.

It even will show you how to rescue your files and certain stored settings, email, data etc that your software relies upon that can be browsed into to copy out.

Ask back if you have any questions after you actually read the tutorial.
