Resume from Hibernate Shows Windows Error Recovery in Windows 7 Hello guys,
I have some weird problem in my Windows 7 PRO x64bit Setup dual boot on another partition with Windows 8 CP x64.. (Windows 7 installed 1st then Windows 8)
Both OS boot and load just fine. No problem at all, but when Im on windows 7 and when I choose hibernate from start menu it hibernates the system,
but when I power it ON again, and choose Windows 7 from the boot menu, Windows Error Recovery apprears, says that It wasn't properly shutdown something like that with the timer and choices to boot into safe mode, safe mode with command and Normal..
my laptop set to hibernate after few hours of sleep, but when I turned it on and choose Windows 7 from boot menu, again Windows Error Recovery comes up that it wasnt properly shutdown.
When I choose Normal from windows error recovery, windows 7 loads just fine.
my question is; why is that saying Its not properly shutdown when I use hibernate..
this was started when I dual boot with Windows 8 CP....
anyhelp would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have a dual-boot PC and triple-boot PC and use sleep and hibernate on both.
When i wake up a PC from sleep or hibernate I do not get the OS selection screen.
My PC's just "restart" the OS that is sleeping/hibernating.
I don't have Win 8 in my systems.
Maybe ask this question in the Win 8 forum? | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number home built OS Win 7 Pro x64 SP1, Win 7 Ult x86 SP1 CPU AMD Athlon II x4 620 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-MA785G-UD3H Memory 6GB GSkill DDR2 800 Graphics Card AMD 4670 GPU + AMD 4200 IGP Sound Card on board Realtek ALC889A Monitor(s) Displays RCA 40" LCD TV, Insignia 32" LCD TV, HP 15" LCD monitor Screen Resolution 1680 x 1050... Maybe ask this question in the Win 8 forum? That's what I expected also, when resuming from hibernate it wont ask us for which OS to load, but in my situation it does... | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP G62-340US Notebook OS Win7 Pro SP1 x64 CPU AMD K10 Athlon(tm) II P340 Dual-Core Processor ~2.2GHz Motherboard Hewlett-Packard 1444 69.37/AMD 785GX/BIOS F29 Memory DDR3 4.0GB (3.74 Usable) Graphics Card AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 256MB Video Sound Card ATI RS785/RS880 - High Definition Audio Controller Monitor(s) Displays SAMSUNG 156AT09-H04 Screen Resolution 1366x768 - 344 x 194 mm, Pixel Clock 69.30 MHz Hard Drives WDC WD3200BEVT-60A23T0 320GB Other Info Bought on July 03, 2011 |

I'm wondering if the Win 8 install didn't cause a hibernate problem for Win 7.
That's why i suggested asking in the Win 8 forum.
Does your Win 7 Sleep and Wake up OK?
