I have just bought a Acer Aspire 5735 running Vista 32 bit. It has 4gb ram and a Intel 2 duo T6400 processor. I have installed win 7 upgrade and found the performance score dropped from 3.7 to 3.4. The upgrade was installed on Vista as from the factory without any extra software. I have tried to upgrade to Win 7 32 bit but it wont accept that although the computer should be suitable. Any help would be appreciated.

Uhmm, I'm confused, you say you installed Win 7 upgrade 32 bit and then tried to upgrade to Win 7 and it didn't work.
7 is more graphics oriented and that may be why your score dropped, but we need to know which component as Cluberti requested.

When Vista was around, it may have been higher. But as Win 7 is newer the expectations for hardware go up meaning your score will go down because it is older.

Win 7 shows a slower performance score than Vista problems?
