| | Win 7 shows a slower performance score than Vista I have just bought a Acer Aspire 5735 running Vista 32 bit. It has 4gb ram and a Intel 2 duo T6400 processor. I have installed win 7 upgrade and found the performance score dropped from 3.7 to 3.4. The upgrade was installed on Vista as from the factory without any extra software. I have tried to upgrade to Win 7 32 bit but it wont accept that although the computer should be suitable. Any help would be appreciated.  |

| | Perhaps the computer is designed to run better on Vista? Try flashing to latest bios first and then perform a clean install of Windows 7. |

| | Uhmm, I'm confused, you say you installed Win 7 upgrade 32 bit and then tried to upgrade to Win 7 and it didn't work.  7 is more graphics oriented and that may be why your score dropped, but we need to know which component as Cluberti requested. |

| | When Vista was around, it may have been higher. But as Win 7 is newer the expectations for hardware go up meaning your score will go down because it is older. |
