upgrading memory My net book Acer Aspire One 722-BZ454 came with only 2 gb of ram. Since I have been flooded with win 7 upgrades and etc..2 gigs seem to slow down my system. I heard owners of the same net book had removed the 2 gigs and replaced it with 4gigs and found that to be very satisfactory. I bought this net book cause of traveling convience and its low price, but i do not want to add more cost to it, because of it.. I realize it would cost me something, so can anyone here recommend where i can get a good price on a 4 gig ram? Also, its a shame about the removable 2 gig i would have to remove..i go back to the days when a pc ran on only 10MB of ram and that was in Oct 1992...and they were very, very expensive then and even rare to get at times. | My System Specs |

Above link is to the Crucial RAM configurator for your netbook at Crucial.com. Take a look at its recommendation for your netbook.
You can also go to Crucial with your netbook and let it sniff your configuration. It will then make a recommendation that should match the link I provided.
$23 for 4 GB direct from Crucial, or you can shop for that exact Crucial product number locally. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Ignatz Special; 4 speed manual gearbox; factory air conditioning; one of one OS Windows 7 SP1, Home Premium, 64-bit CPU Intel Sandy Bridge i5-2500, not overclocked Motherboard Gigabyte H67A-UD3H-B3, full ATX Memory 4 GB Crucial DDR3-1333 Graphics Card none; graphics are integrated on CPU Sound Card onboard: Realtek ALC892; external: USB Behringer UF0-202 Monitor(s) Displays NEC 90GX2-BK 19" LCD Screen Resolution 800 x 640 Keyboard Leopold Tenkeyless with Cherry Blue switches, USB Mouse Logitech or Microsoft optical wired; either USB or PS 2 PSU Seasonic SS-560KM, modular Case Antec Solo II Cooling CPU: Scythe Big Shuriken; Case: Scythe Slipstream 800 & 500 Hard Drives System: Intel 320 Series SSD, 80 GB;

I have a windows 7 laptop with 2gb of ram and it runs fine. Most likely you have startup programs running at startup. You can disable them by going to clicking the start button then type: msconfig After you type that, hit enter. Once msconfig comes up, click on the startup tab. Disable everything you don't need running at startup. According to these specs you have 1 stick of 2 Gigs in the netbook now, so all you need to buy is 1 more 2 Gig stick. I would physically check b4 you buy anything.
