Why are these programs using so much memory?

Look at the first 4 applications running.

Maybe they were always running or I just noticed them, but why are they using 700+k memory?????????

    That's quite a bit!

700+k for my Razer mouse application?

700k is less than 1 megabyte. 1000 megabytes makes up a gigabyte. I still think that you should disable these applications from starting when your pc starts. To do so click start, then type msconfig, then press enter. Once msconfig comes up, click on the startup tab and uncheck everything except your antivirus and anything that has nvidia, intel, or amd in the name of the entry. If you have any questions about which startup programs to disable, just post back in this thread.

looks pretty normal to me, only using 44% out of your 2gbs. It's not slowing you down is it? If it isn't don't worry about it 956k isn't much compared to your google chrome or norton anti-virus.

I should disable "Startmen Application" on start up?

    Also, what about these,

    Razerhid application
    Adobe Acrobat
    Windows Defender

The only things left to start up are Java and My audio manager.

    EDIT. Here's a picture.

Leave startmen. It is for HP Printers. Disable razerhid and java. (disabling java will disable it from automatically popping up with those annoying update nag popups.

Can you expand the startup item tab some more so I can see the full name of the startup item?
