There is a reason I posted what I did in post #27 regarding some of your software that has worked fine in the past. Optimization software, no matter how well it works for a time, will eventually break down any system and start causing problems if there is registry cleaning involved.

You have also been given a lot of other advice in this thread that you have not followed or have been snippy about toward us... As one of our Gurus has said to similar users we have tried to help: Pot, kettle?

And I know how you feel about paying for software. I have paid for enough snake oil over the years only to find out it was a hindrance rather than help to my system. I'd be embarrassed and ashamed to post how much money I have spent on such software before joining these forums and finding out what a fool I was.

Snippy? Explain.... I have done all that's been suggested to me! First I don't show off about what certifications I've got such as MVPs! You don't know what I've got under my belt...I don't feel the need brag about what I've got...... I just put this thread up for some EXPERT opinions on my problem... I don't have Microsoft certs it's not something I went after myself... I do other IT related things.... But your all the experts so I thought I would ask you... Oh and I'm no fool fella... that's a brave statement from behind a keyboard!!!! I haven't resorted to name calling, you've just done that. Second why would I be ashamed on what I've paid for software? Explain ? We've all paid out for Windows 7, yet the software we all paid for is very buggy and has a lot of problems...hence the need for a group such as this.... Didn't think you would all get so frustrated like the techies on the end of a phone! But hey.....I'm not the one with 7 assassin and 7 guru on my profile... Peace....no shame in admitting defeat
Oops. I am so sorry I called myself a fool. I accept my own apology to myself for calling myself a fool. I really should not call myself names. I am done with this thread.

I'm sorry if you took it as insinuation (telling me to look it up could be seen as insulting, but I'll let it slide), but I was in no way calling you a fool. I have no idea how much you have spent on the software, nor do I think you are a fool for paying for software that was marketed to improve system performance. I have bought more questionable software than what you have on your system. Some of the software I bought was flagged as malware by reputable antivirus software. Can we get back on topic and stop with the attacks towards those helping you, please?

'm not the one with 7 assassin and 7 guru on my profile..
    Any problem with that?

What I said was in no way way to insult you. Lately, we've been seeing lots of careless users which has disturbed the mood of techies a little...

We can still continue if you want.

    Hi Bud,

Yes I can remove these programs but some of them will have to go back on as I paid money for them! I'm happy to uninstall for the purposes of this test to see if it's causing me problems.....but I WILL be putting some of these programs on my system..... I'll re post information as required.

    Thanks

No no problem at all my friend....just stating a fact that I'm not the one with 7 Guru or 7 Assassin on my profile (to me that means you have the best knowledge in reference to windows 7) If I had (CISSP guru) on mine you would be well with in your rights to assume I have good knowledge IT security

    Please can we continue?

Have you had a chance to test your RAM with the two identical sticks in the yellow slots or the two identical sticks in the black slots? Any difference? I would suggest testing both scenarios and seeing if either the two yellow or two black slots provide better results. Always a possibility of a bad slot.

    Britton30,

I've not long come back from the US! Plano Texas to be exact... I have spent a lot of time with Americans, for working purposes and close social events... My brother in law always calls my little boy Buddy, and I've never took that the wrong way...you've got me on that one... My family have spent over 20 years in the states and I think Americans are very misjudged...never witnessed any sarcasm both from my time serving with Americans or socializing with them... I need to brush up on my US customs and ethics then... If I said hello you c***t I would understand... Oh well back to the drawing board.... Karl sorry for calling you B***y
