    uncheck ALL except for:
    Code:
    SidebarExecute    C:\Program Files\WINDOWS SIDEBAR\SIDEBAR.EXE /D "C:\Program Files\WINDOWS SIDEBAR" /NORMAL "C:\Program Files\WINDOWS SIDEBAR\SIDEBAR.EXE
    REBOOT!

    sammy,
    In about an hour I will work my way thru your Install.txt where, incidentally, you have numerous programs that need to be uninstalled (just an advance notice). Oh yes,
    get rid of Vuze and any torrent software unless you are really fond of malware. Will be back with more info, but you have no idea how strongly I'm opposed to torrenting.

    get rid of any av software you've installed and install MSE, Microsoft Security Essentials, link in my signature.

    I have MSE Installed my friend and MSE is all thats listed in startup msconfig.

    I have also just gone though the Windows Defender Offline and that got me a BSOD...
    Info wimFsf.sys PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONE PAGED_AREA

    In regards to removing software....shoot! :)

    please reread the procedure for using Windows Defender Offline.

    Let me know, precisely, at what step in the procedure an error occurs.

    Your startup.txt did not reflect this, post an updated startup.txt please andwill be way for an hour or so, but start with removing VUZE.

    If any program really needs Java, then you will be prompted and be able to install the latest version.

    By deleting all Java, you get rid of the baggage and problems caused by older versions such as security problems.


    After the uninstall:
    please pose fresh copies of install.txt, taskscheduler.txt and startup.txt.
