| Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit 37 posts | this computer is setup to automatically run programs at startup? Whenever I run the troubleshooter for performance issues it says one problem detected "this computer is setup to automatically run programs at startup" And I only have 3 programs to run at start up my AV, audio driver, and some intel rapid storage program. Is this just a default thing or is there a problem? |

| Windows 7 home premium x64 637 posts | I would agree 3 is about average, certainly nothing to be concerned about. You may be able to trim a few services if you feel you would like more performance. |

| Win7 x 6 PC's 36,545 posts California, Florida, Boston | You don't need any to startup other than the AV, and it should be lean like Microsoft Security Essentials. |
