Best way to recover from "sleep" without using the Power Button?

The keyboard and mouse are USB.

I disabled Hibernate last night, but when I tried to wake the computer after about a 3 hours sleep, I had to use the power button.

This may be a Dell thing.

It's a new computer, so you could contact Dell support.

Did you try the other suggestions?
Wonder if sometimes the KB/mouse don't get enough power while sleeping.
You could try using another USB port for the KB.

I thought I had replied to this, but I don't see it.

The KB & mouse are USB.

Disabeling hibernate apparently didn't help because it took the power button to awake a 3 hour sleep.

And to Dave: I did try the other suggestions except for "SFC /Scannow " for which the OS wouldn't allow me in because it didn't recognize me as the administrator (which I am.) I have not tried other keyboards or other USB locations yet because they are all full. The current setup has both mouse and KB in a powered USB hub.

I'll probably check with Dell, but it is a relatively small problem that I can probably live with.

To run sfc /scannow, go to start and type cmd then right click on cmd and click run as an administrator. Then type in sfc /scannow in the command prompt.

Looks like everything is OK there, since no intergrity violations were found.
