PC freezes for few second and then it is fine

Hello All, I am facing this strange issue with my PC. Recently my PC just freezes for a moment and then it comes back to life. This happens when I am watching any video, playing a game. It never happened while I am online surfing (yet).

I did a fresh install of Win 7. Checked for virus, spyware and all other stuff.

    Any suggestions?

If the problem is repeatable, you could try a clean start to see if it is a program conflict

Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup

Did the problem start after adding/changing any hardware? This can sometimes be caused by memory timing/voltage issues as well. I see your specs mention a self built PC. Did this issue start right after the new build, or was it working fine until recently? A Guy

Thanks for the replies guys. I did try a clean start up and that did not help. I also checked the hardware temps. But, all the hardware is properly cooled. PC still hangs for sometime.
