After a "Wake-up failure", how does the laptop get "re-booted" and running Windows-7?
Do you get any error message(s) booting up, and/or after Windows is up and running? | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number home built OS Win 7 Pro x64 SP1, Win 7 Ult x86 SP1 CPU AMD Athlon II x4 620 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-MA785G-UD3H Memory 6GB GSkill DDR2 800 Graphics Card AMD 4670 GPU + AMD 4200 IGP Sound Card on board Realtek ALC889A Monitor(s) Displays RCA 40" LCD TV, Insignia 32" LCD TV, HP 15" LCD monitor Screen Resolution 1680 x 1050... My guess is you are getting a BSOD on a sleep/wake-up.
To determine if you are getting a BSOD (you have a MEMORY.DMP or MINIDUMP file) follow the instructions at http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...tructions.html
If you are getting a BSOD, follow the "BSOD - Posting Instructions" for further help. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number home built OS Win 7 Pro x64 SP1, Win 7 Ult x86 SP1 CPU AMD Athlon II x4 620 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-MA785G-UD3H Memory 6GB GSkill DDR2 800 Graphics Card AMD 4670 GPU + AMD 4200 IGP Sound Card on board Realtek ALC889A Monitor(s) Displays RCA 40" LCD TV, Insignia 32" LCD TV, HP 15" LCD monitor Screen Resolution 1680 x 1050... Do you have a C:\Windows\Memory.dmp file
or a file in the C:\Windows\Minidump\ folder ? | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number home built OS Win 7 Pro x64 SP1, Win 7 Ult x86 SP1 CPU AMD Athlon II x4 620 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-MA785G-UD3H Memory 6GB GSkill DDR2 800 Graphics Card AMD 4670 GPU + AMD 4200 IGP Sound Card on board Realtek ALC889A Monitor(s) Displays RCA 40" LCD TV, Insignia 32" LCD TV, HP 15" LCD monitor Screen Resolution 1680 x 1050... What i think is happening is the PC sleeps, crashes TRYING to wake-up, and shuts down.
When you re-boot it gives you the "shut down error message" you see.
For further help with this you need to follow the " BSOD - Posting Instructions" at http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...tructions.html Note this in the instructions:
