a full hard drive could lead to slow loading, but it shouldn't be affecting actual game play very much.

After defragging the only thing you can do to get some speed back is to start clearing up more space.

If your computer is suddenly lagging horribly, I would start looking at the nature of the stuff you've been putting on there, and I would probably start with a full scan from a updated copy of malwarebytes.
Malwarebytes : Malwarebytes Anti-Malware PRO removes malware including viruses, spyware, worms and trojans, plus it protects your computer

    davidloh,
    Welcome to SevenForums.

I do not recomment the decrapifier.

    Over ambitious.

My first recommendation is do not use that program.

Before I continue with solutions to your problem don't cause havoc:
Important to know is did this come up suddenly or have you slowing been filling up the disk?

The reason I ask is there is some malware that will start consuming disk space and every time your run your computer, you find that you have a little less space.

Let me know whether this could be the case.
