Unexpected Lag

My cursor starting lagging when I play flash games and the youtube videos started lagging when I watch them. This started about 2 months ago and I do not understand why. It has 6 gb of ram and a 64-bit operating system. Please help asap.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit

I would recommend going through the steps in Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7, especially the clean startup step.
