Windows 7: RunDLL error

When I start the laptop, an error is comming



There was error starting msixth32.dll
The specified module could not be found.

What is it all about and what is the solution for it?

According to Webroot Prevx, this is probably malware.

I suggest running a full scan with your antivirus suite of choice. Since no antimalware product is 100% effective 100% of the time, I'd make sure your AV didn't miss something by running a couple of free on-demand scanners. I'd start with Malwarebytes and then move on to one or more of these:

Windows Defender Offline (not to be confused with Windows Defender!) | Superantispyware | Hitman Pro | ESET | Comodo Cleaning Essentials

Please post back with the results of the scans. Note: some scans can take over an hour so be patient.

Will McAfee complete Security work ???

You can use McAfee as your first scan if that's what's on your computer. But I would still recommend using at least a couple more on-demand scanners starting with Malwarebytes. As I said, no product is 100% effective 100% of the time. If there was such a product we'd all be using it.

If McAfee doesn't find any problems, definitely try the on-demand scanners. If McAfee DOES find problems, definitely use a couple of the on-demand scanners to make sure McAfee didn't miss something.
