Following Greg's suggestions may help you find the cause/fix for the "Slow" times.

I'm not so sure that would help with answering why you can't install the SDK for using the trace.

The very last line in the log you posted says:

    • "16:30:42 Wednesday, June 06, 2012: [SDKSetup:Error] Config_Products_Install: Windows SDK Setup (failed): Installation of the "Microsoft Windows SDK for Windows 7" product has reported the following error: Please refer to Samples\Setup\HTML\ConfigDetails.htm document for further information."

Can you look at "Samples\Setup\HTML\ConfigDetails.htm" and see if there are any messages that may help?

Looking at more of your log, I wonder if the problem isn't due to you not having the correct "Net Framework" installed on your PC.
    I'm just guessing...

You could create a new thread in the "Crashes and Debugging" SF sub-forum and post the error log there.
The people that work that sub-forum may be able to answer why you can't install the trace utility when they look at the log.

Or, you could also add a post to the Trace Tutorial thread explaining you can't install the tool...

Either way, I would include a link back to this thread, so it is clear what you have tried and what the issue is.

I don't have the time to currently mess with my video cards, and it worked fine with sli before and it just recently started happening for some unknown reason. It is probably a software problem that is why I want to do a boot trace, but the sdk still will not install.

EDIT: Dave, should I install a different net framework, I have net framework 4, which it is supported under. I'm going to update my bios and uninstall a few recently installed programs and see if that helps.

EDIT 2: I just updated my bios, apparently it cleared itself and downgraded to its stock version. Now I am going to test this one out and post back with some results.
