235 NTUSER.dat files - Can I delete any of them?

Hey All,

I've got 235 NTUSER.DAT files in my User folder. Am I able to delete any of them?

What are they actually for??

Run a Malwarebytes scan just to make sure there are no viruses: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Download
If Malwarebytes finds anything, then remove everything and scan again. If not, then it is normal. As long as it's not causing stability issues or performance issues, then just leave it

Hey Windude,

I've been using Avast, Malwarebytes and Super Anti-Spyware and nothing been picked up. System is running fine.
I know that these files do sometimes appear but just seems like a lot of them.

I'm going to be doing a repair install soon anyway as I do one every year just to give windows a bit of a refresh. Maybe they'll be deleted then.
