Is there a application native to win7 that will do all this?

Thank you
Most users only ever need the settings found in Control Panel>Display. If you need more calibration than that then you may be one who actually needs CCC. Compare and see.

xsile, I suppose another question you might ask is does CCC make the adjustments then sit there doing nothing, or does it reapply the settings at each boot? If the former, then you could make the changes once, and then stop it starting at Startup. I don't know - someone will. I do know that Rivatuner applied at least some settings to an old AGP graphic card, and then didn't need to be around - I know that because it did something that made the motherboard screech loudly at switch on, which stuck around even when Rivatuner was uninstalled. I had to diss the card.

No, there is not. You will have to change those settings within the application itself. Most games allow this, but Office/work/productivity apps usually are not configurable.

Honestly, I install, almost the full suite, except some useless crap (like those drag and drop encoders... what does that even do?), I know it's bloated, but CCC helps you to configure many performance settings, like mipmap detail (low res helps to speed slow systems), or how the image is stretched in the monitor (for example, resolutions lower than native that don't fit whole screen and leave black rectangles).

I woudn't reccomend not installing CCC, instead, you can always disable FUEL, Hotkey Service and CCC at startup, for those with fears, I made my research, FUEL service only helps if you overclock and adds extra options in CCC for power management and CPU power settings, if you don't overclock or need those, you can safely disable the service, it won't hurt at all...

Better install the suite, and customize if you don't need features (like codecs, or rag and Drop features), after, you can disable the services and CCC and get back RAM and CPU cycles.
