Windows 7: PC restarts automatically but in safe mode it working fine

Hi,

My friends PC restarts automatically no BOD or any error message that usually comes after the restarts.

Motherboard: Gigabyte 945 GCMX S2 on Windows 7

I check to replace RAM but same thing.

One more interesting thing is that it works fine in Safe mode. restarts time is random.

Please help me.

If comp works in safe mode then you would suspect driver/3rd party software issue

Have you checked event viewer to see if there are any entries, this would be the first step

After this you could try entering msconfig and selective startup/disabling non MS startup items/non essential stuff temporarily to see if you can identify the offender
Under the services tab you can tick to hide all MS services

Turn on and press F8 straight away.

Select "disable auto restart on system failure" and re-post the STOP code. (the one without brackets, normally the first one).

As Pauly says, this is more than likely S/W related.

When did this start?

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

SFC /SCANNOW : Run in Command Prompt at Boot

This may be the problem of the virus. Scan whole computer with anti virus within the safe mode. See found any threats and delete those threats.
