If i shrink d drive can i add the unpartinitioned space to c drive??

My C drive is full and started to make computer run lil bit slow.

my question is if i shrink my d drive which has about 70g free can i just extend the c drive to take the un-partitioned space?

I dont see why not but seen as i was on here i said id ask, i dont want to have a small usless volume if i can not add it to the c drive.

also it is 1024mb in a gig init?? im goin to add 50g to my c drive which would be 51200mb!

Correct me if im wrong please and thanks you!

Yes, you can shrink D and add that space to C.

But you probably will have to use a third party application such as Partition Wizard, rather than Windows Disk Management.

ok thanks, well i have windows disk manager here ready to just push the button. goin to shrink by 50g.

Will it make a difference if i use a 3rd party app? I think i have one there, forget the name of it tho. used it before but just used windows after my last reinstall.

would it do a better job than windows??

These should help,

Partition or Volume - Shrink

Partition or Volume - Extend

Partition Wizard : Use the Bootable CD

If D is to the right of C you should have no problem using Windows Disk Management to shrink D and extend C into it.

If not then use the Partition wizard bootable CD.

Work through these Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7 especially establishing a clean boot, checking logs for repeat errors, utilize System Resources to check for solutions, use CCleaner and Puran defragger to clean HD, boot defrag with full disk check.
