How to move MyDocuments AND set appropriate file security settings

I would like to move MyDocuments folder from my C: Drive (an SSD) to my D: Drive. (C:\Users\XXXX\My Documents)

I've seen the instructions: right click--Properties--Location--Move.

However, when I do this the security settings of the old folder do not copy over.

I would like the same settings to copy over. How do you do that?

Here is a tutorial on moving user folders to another location. When you select the new folder, be sure to click apply and in the next dialog box click OK. As far as security settings, right click the folder and select properties. Click the sharing tab and you can select who has permission to the file and what type permissions they have.
