Do I need or can I scale down these running processes

Hi, I have just run Task Manager to see what is currently running on my PC and the desktop windows manager seems to be using quite a bit of memory.

Is it best to scale this down somewhat and are there any other processes which can be disabled ?

For what it's worth, my Desktop Windows Manager is using only 1,396k of memory right now---but I don't know what a typical number would be.

That's not many processes---how many do you show if you check "show processes from all users"?? Anything under 50 or 60 is pretty good.

How much RAM do you have?

Post a pic of Resource Monitor memory tab if possible.

That's about right 50 -60 Resources just checked mine at 51

That's after a clean Install ,You will be fine ....typically you would worry if you were really bogged down but that looks normal I think i use more RAM then you do

I went to 52 after doing this snip lmao

I was referring to the memory tab of Resource Monitor, which should show details of your RAM usage.

But we don't yet know how many processes you have when all users are shown.

With 8 GB of RAM, it's not likely that RAM usage by Desktop Windows Manager is a big deal.
