I've been reading all over this board for a real answer & if there was one I missed it.
Even Brink said somewhere that Windows 7 creates 'automatic points'.
I've had this PC since mid Feb. & the only points made have been from Windows Updates or when I installed / uninstalled something or those that I've created just to have some in case I mess up.
Where do I look to set mine up?

indeed, Windows automatically creates a system restore point everytime a program or updates are installed. I don't fully understand your question at the end there, but I'm hoping one of these tutorials will answer your question.

Sorry, I have this problem every time I post for help, I confuse people because I don't know the right terms I guess.

I have read 100 times in different places where someone has said that Win 7 will create 'AUTOMATIC System Restore Points' , but do you think I can put my hands on it when needed, hell no.
Maybe I should find another board?
I'm fairly certain that the "automatic" restore points that are being referenced are the ones created by Windows when some things are installed or uninstalled. For instance, Windows creates restore points automatically every time you install Windows Updates, and usually when you install or uninstall drivers or programs. These "automatic" restore points can be access just like other restore points that you create manually. I think there may be a way to set Windows to create restore points on a regular basis, but I'm not sure.
Anyway, all the restore points that are created "automatically" through the means described above can be accessed, deleted, and used in the same way that you access, delete, and use the restore points you manually create. Does that answer your question?
I will once again state that Windows does do automatic restore points. You have already mentioned them. They happen when you install updates, programs, and drivers. I'm 99% sure that this is what he was refering to. The only other thing I can think of is a tutorial created by Bare Foot Kid that described how to set Windows Task Scheduler to do daily restore points. Personally, I think it is completely pointless. The restore points that are already created regularly are usually all that you need, but it seems to be what you are looking for at least. If not, you could send Brink a PM to ask him directly, since he is who you said posted about it previously.

You can create System Restore points manually. In that sense, any non-manual Restore Points are "automatic".
In practice, most restore points are of the "automatic" type and are made during program installations or Windows Updates.
However--I think I have read that even if you do NO program installations and make NO Windows Updates, Windows will still make an occasional restore point. Going from memory, that may be once a week?? That may be what you mean by "automatic". I don't think there is any way to change that once a week schedule through the System Restore configuration, although it may be possible through a registry change.
I never make manual restore points, but normally find I have about 10 or 15 per month--all of them "automatic".

As I understand it, Windows will make an automatic restore point weekly ONLY if it has not made one within the last week for some other reason--such as an install or Windows Update.
Frankly, I have never paid close enough attention to see if that is true. It seems I always have 8 or 10 per month for some reason or another, but I can't say if any were done as a result of the once-per-week standard. Offhand, I cannot recall going a week without a new restore point.
Have you deliberately avoided making any through Windows Update, manually or because of an install and see if it will then make one as a result of that schedule???
Just to note, I've found that when I do Puran's Boot Time Defrag, it wipes out all of my restore points!
Lately I've been using ERUNT to backup the registry. It runs almost instantly (as a batch file) when I click a shortcut on my desktop. My "total geek" friend loves ERUNT and recommended it to me.
