I am going to be giving my laptop to a family member soon, and I am trying to "clean it out" to make sure they get it as close to new as possible. I have ran a program to delete broken shortcuts and I have deleted all my old personal files and defragmented the hard drive.
However, I would also like to try and "reset" the windows 7 registry, as all of the keys from my time with it are still in it. I was thinking that I could download a backup file of a clean registry and use it to "reset" my registry.
Would this work?
