To get rid of junk and temporary files use Ccleaner. It does a real nice job. I see your running 64 bit OS with 3 gigs of ram. To help speed up over all performance, add more RAM.

CCleaner - Download

Update your SevenForums System Specs
User CP (located on the top menu bar) |
Your Profile | Edit System Spec
(left-hand column)

To gather info, use Speccy (my favorite) or SIW or System Info

In the System Manufacturer Block, enter:
Manufacturer and Model and
ADD the word laptop, desktop, netbook or tablet.
For example:
Toshiba Satellite L305D notebook.

Provide full windows version info, for example:
MS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

Use the “Other Info” block for Optical Reader,
Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor, etc

Scroll down and click on SAVE CHANGES.

You will find that in Speccy, you can select info from the display
using your mouse/touchpad and then paste that info into your specs.

SIW is a marvelous program, but the free version does not offer
this capability.

You can add CCleaner to the Recycle Bin context menu. This way you can run or open it when the Recycle bin needs to be emptied... or whenever. Pretty slick, and it saves putting yet another icon on your desktop.

Will Clean-Installing My Computer Make It Run Faster?
Even a little bit? I have a Windows 7 laptop, Inspiron 1545 by Dell. I heard they aren't the best system tweakers and pre-install are sorts of stuff that makes the PC run a bit slow. What if I clean install my Windows 7, then add all the drivers for my service tag on my laptop, and my programs?...

How can I make it faster?
I'm pretty comfortable with the performance. But, just for shits, I'd like to see how far I can take it without it being unstable. I ran 3DMark06 and systems with lower specs were destroying my scores. Curious as to why? Also, I have an original ATI Radeon 5850. Can I run, lets say an XFX,...
