Worrying session with a logmein tech

    yep no probs mate it was the official looking site that had Microsoft in the site name that I should have been a bit more vigilant with.

    scam on event viewer


    same thing happened to me by Microsoft.techgurus
    they also left an support_logmein.rescue1.exe file hidden somewhere on my computer
    left over from session where they logged into my computer
    apparently or I hope not they still can
    ?
    how do I delete said .exe file?

    Hello Val mate I don't know how exactly but I would hazard a guess at there being a registry entry somewhere but unless you are really VERY conversant with doing stuff in the registry I would not go there until advice can be got from one of our boffins.:)
