Windows 7: Start up takes more than 3 mins even with 6 gb ram !!!

Hello , my Toshiba laptop takes more than 3 mins to start up even after i upgraded to 6 GB of DDR 3 RAM .. My processor is Core i3 330M 2.1 Ghz and OS win 7 64 bit .. can any anyone suggest any ways i can improve my startup ..

Nobody is a fortune teller here, we need a screenshot of whats being loaded on your system startup,. so grab a copy of autoruns and post a screen for us.

Get an SSD.

Also, check what applications you have scheduled to run at start-up.

I checked the the startup items in MSCONFIG . . the list is not that big ... can you suggest a way i can see all the items in my startup and post a screenshot of that here ??

That would be it. Where exactly does it hang? Is it when you're in Windows but it's loading, or is it the splash scree, or prior to splash screen?

MSCONFIG shows only a small subset of your startup items: use "autoruns" instead, but be careful what you shut off.

Three minutes means you have a problem and an SSD won't make much difference unless your HD is hosed - defragment it for a slight improvement.

Though I haven't used it in a while, there is software that will chart your boot process and show you where it's wasting time (like Soluto Analyzes Windows Startup to Give You a Faster Computer ? - I haven't used this particular one). There's also a primitive, overly complicated way (the MS way!) to do something similar with event viewer:
