Windows 7: How to Optimize New Operating Systems Effici

Windows 7 at Its Best

Microsoft Windows has launched its latest version of operating system — the Windows 7. With its newest innovations which made it simpler and easier to use, is it really any better than the older operating systems? Well, if you are already using it or about to, here are some tips on how to make sure that Windows 7 work best for your PC or laptop.

The first one is pretty simple. You just have to make sure that your hardware meets the basic requirements that are needed for installation. These are the same specifications needed for Windows Vista so if you are or have used it, there won’t be any problem. The requirements are listed below.

16 GB available disk space (32-bit) / 20 GB (64-bit)

1 GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor

DirectX 9 graphics processor with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver.

! GB RAM (32-bit) / 2 GB RAM (64-bit)

But if your operating system is older like Windows 2000, this it would be a problem since the requirements are much less than Windows 7. Lower specifications can slow down or might not even work for Windows 7.

However, given that you meet the standards of this newest operating system, you still need to make sure that it is working efficiently. You could do this by checking your hardware memory and making sure that it has enough space to avoid inactive programs that slow it down. Almost all operating systems work at its best with a large memory. You could do this by deleting some programs, and thus have some more free space.

The last option might be more complicated when you are not really expert with it. However, this usually does the trick and speeds up Windows 7. This is done by checking for the registry. Some errors and problems are usually stuck here. But be extra careful in sorting the registry since it contains very important entries. When done improperly, Windows 7 might crash. To make sure that all is done correctly, you can use registry cleaner software. This makes your job easier because it only deletes and fixes errors that are actually causing the operating system to slow down. Some cleaning software’s can be accessed on the internet for free. So if you have an internet connection, you could easily download and install it to scan for possible threats.

Now you are sure that you are getting the newest services that Windows 7 has to offer. By following these three simple steps, you are ensuring that your desktop computer or laptop is running at its best.
