Windows 7 repair disc not working?

I have a toshiba satellite c655 laptop with windows 7 64bit going thru some issues right now. Long story short, windows wont boot. I've tried a myriad of repair options with no success, and am now trying a burned repair disc from another windows 7 64bit computer. I boot from the disc, and everything is fine. I hit the first 'next' button. When it reaches the second menu screen that's supposed to show your OS, it just doesnt load. The cursor becomes a little blue circle that shows its loading, but never does. I left it there for at least 10 hrs to no avail. Is it just a bad burn, or is something else wrong?

    Welcome aboard !

As an alternative, you can obtain your version of windows 7 from Official Windows 7 SP1 ISO from Digital River « My Digital Life and perform a Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 .

    SlickVic,
    Welcome to SevenForums.

    Let's rule out bad memory.

    RAM - Test with Memtest86+

    Let me know the results.

ok. I've downloaded both suggestions, and I'm gonna try the memory test first. I'll make sure to post the results.

Ok. So I ran the memory test. I ran it 7 passes as suggested. Everything came back fine. No errors at all

    slickvik,
Do you happen to recall what you did to precipitate this problem?

In any case, the next step is to test your hard disk with the SeaGate Tools for Dos.

Well, my problems started about 2-3 weeks ago. I was updating some programs and scanning my computer which I do about once a month (cc cleaner, malwarebytes, avg 2012, and spybot search/destroy to be exact). I've done it plenty of times before with no issues, but not this time. When all was done, I tried to access the internet, but it didnt work. After trying a few other programs that didnt work, I decided to restart. Windows hasnt booted since. I've tried everything I know.

Repair your computer, all three safe mode options, last known configuration, all didnt work. At first, they either got stuck at the windows screen, or in the case of safe mode, would show the screen loading all the drivers, stall there, and then quickly flash a blue screen before restarting. Ever since i tried the repair disc, all other options now get stuck at a black screen with only a mouse pointer. Luckily, I found out about Ubuntu, and have been able to retrieve some important files.

Ok. So I tried the seatools, and ran into a new issue. I booted from the CD, the end user license agreement comed up, and I accept. It starts scanning for devices, and it recognizes my harddrive. However, my laptop mousepad no longer works, and I cant start a test. After about 15 seconds, it just ends, and goes to a black screen that thanks me for using seatools. This is driving me crazy

Did you download SeaGate for DOS directly from the link I gave?

You must download the DOS version and not the Windows version.

Yes. I'm positive. Right from the link you gave. I just redownloaded it and re-burned it just to make sure, and got the same results
